Discover Noorart’s New Islamic Studies Series
We are in the process of launching an Islamic Social Studies curriculum series for elementary schools in the USA and North America.The series consists of five books, covering Grades 1 through 5.
The curriculum is designed using a spiral and integrative approach, where key themes are revisited across grade levels with increasing depth and breadth. Topics are not taught in isolation; rather, they are interconnected to build a cohesive and meaningful learning experience.
For example, students are introduced to Salah (prayer) in Grade 1 in a simple and accessible way. As they progress through each grade, their understanding is gradually expanded—covering its steps, times, conditions, meanings, rules, as well as its spiritual significance and importance—until they reach a more comprehensive and mature understanding by Grade 5.
This structured progression ensures that learning is developmentally appropriate, reinforces prior knowledge, and supports long-term understanding.
The content of the series is divided into five sections:
- Aqidah (Imaan): like some of Allah’s Most Beautiful Names, the pillars of Islam, the pillars of Imaan…etc
- Manners and Society: like parents’ rights, neighbors’ rights, visiting the sick, patience, saying the truth…etc
- Ibadat (Worship): like how to make wudu’, how to make salah, the salat rules, making dua’…etc
- Seerah and the Tales of the Prophets: like the Black Stone incident, Habasha Hijrah and the stories of prophets Ibrahim, Nuh, Musa, Ayub….etc
- Qur’an Karim: Selected short suwar from Juz ‘Amma are included, each chosen to match the focus of the lesson. Some lessons also feature an “Amazing Ayaat” section, which provides additional verses from the Holy Qur’an for deeper reflection and understanding.

Each book contains 8 units; each unit is divided into 4 chapters. Each chapter is divided into 3 lessons.
