The Contemporary Arabic series is designed according to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) standards, starting from beginner level A1 and progressing through A2, B1, B2, up to advanced level C1.
CEFR Levels Explained: A1 (Beginner): Individuals at this level can understand and use simple phrases and sentences related to everyday life, and can participate in basic interactions. A2 (Pre-intermediate): Learners at this level can understand sentences and common expressions related to familiar topics, and can communicate in simple situations. B1 (Intermediate): Individuals can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters, and can express themselves in a simple manner. B2 (Upper Intermediate): Learners at this level can understand the main ideas of complex texts and can communicate fluently and spontaneously in various situations. C1 (Advanced): Individuals can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts and recognize implicit meaning, and can express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for the right expression.
Specially developed for schools, this program has no community reference. Upon completing this level, you will be able to transform a sound into a written letter (writing and dictation) and vice versa. You will be able to read isolated letters, words, or groups of words to form sentences. Additionally, the vocabulary lessons will help you acquire a linguistic and lexical stock and use it appropriately for expression.
