Meet Melek: The Problem-Solver Extraordinaire! 

Eight-year-old Melek always has a solution. Some ideas come from beneath her super hijab, while others require a little help from her friends: newcomer Tien, who escapes into drawing fantastic worlds; dress-up guru Lily; and soccer-mad Zac, who NEVER seems to agree with her. 

Melek has big dreams, like starting her own girls’ Aussie Rules football team. When she can’t find a book character in a hijab for the Book Parade, she decides to write her own story—featuring incredible illustrations by the talented Tien. 

Her classroom is filled with exciting adventures, from Fab Science projects to a Rainbow Reading Chair, a Corridor of Characters, and even Zac’s mischievous Reading Rat. Melek is always ready to tackle any challenge, whether she’s rescuing Zac from the pool or rallying her classmates around new ideas. 

And when it’s time for footy, her fashionista mom saves the day by designing club color-coded hijabs for all the fans. 

With creativity, determination, and a little help from her friends, Melek makes every day extraordinary!
