IQra' Wise (Weekend Islamic School Excellence) Textbook: Grade Eight

The Grade 8 IQRA’ WISE (Weekend Islamic School Excellence) weekend school curriculum is a faith-nurturing journey designed to inspire young adult minds with the spirit of Islam. Through engaging lessons, students learn to overcome the four spiritual enemies—their own desires, temptations, worldly distractions, and Satan—and strengthen their faith through prayer, fasting, humility, and discipline.

The textbook explores life’s big questions—about purpose, belief, doubt, and the existence of evil—offering guidance through the miracles of the Qur’an and the life of the Prophet ﷺ. Stories of young individuals like Ibrāhīm, Yūsuf, the Aṣḥāb al-Kahf, and the youth among the Ṣaḥābah encourage students to embrace responsibility and lead with faith.

Lessons on relationships, justice, and environmental care highlight Islam’s relevance in everyday life. Finally, students explore the meaning of belonging to the global ummah, appreciating its diversity and discovering how they can help build stronger Muslim communities worldwide.
